Continuing education in medical device packaging is essential for career and company growth…
Medical device manufacturers have just been challenged to meet the more robust revised ISO 11607-1:2019 standard, that now addresses materials, sterile barrier systems, and packaging systems, as well as ISO 11607-2:2019, which covers the validation for forming, sealing and assembly processes. Also with recent revisions of the ISO 13485 standard, manufacturing and packaging engineers can quickly get lost in the weeds. Our Podcast will deliver “drive to work” discussions designed to keep you up to date to avoid potential gaps in your regulatory approach to the packaging of terminally sterilized medical devices.
We will also discuss the latest tools to help your company stay informed on the latest in machinery, software, and materials. Our host Charlie Webb CPP speaks to the nation’s leading company’s and SME’s to help you maintain a competitive and regulatory edge in our complicated ecosystem. With 25 years in sterile device packaging Charlie Webb brings his packaging insight into discussions with our guests, Charlie says “If you are not in a continuing education mode in our demanding and risk-focused industry you will likely fall short under a siloed closed-loop packaging group, always look outside your organization to avoid the perils of incestuous data collection”
Join the journey of discovery in medical device packaging with our host Charlie Webb CPP…

We are taking medical device packaging education and the SPOT radio Podcast on a Roadtrip…
As a medical device packaging machine VA hospital contract holder, we needed a way to get the word out on better ways to assure patient safety through better packaging technologies. It was also clear that medical device manufacturers needed assistance to learn how they can stay compliant with the ISO-17025-2019 medical device packaging requirements.
So why not outfit a command unit van with demonstration equipment and have one of the nation’s leading medical device packaging technologist reach out onsite to medical device manufacturers and hospitals? Many Hospitals and some medical device manufacturers seem to still be using medical device packaging machine technology that is 15 to 20 years old. Just think of your mobile phone (if you even had one 20 years ago) and how antiquated it would be today.
Medical device manufactures and hospitals are upping their game in order to conform to the latest more robust regulatory requirements for medical device packaging. Van der Stähl Scientific is on the road to educate packaging engineers and Hospital SPD leaders on better ways to meet these thicker normative challenges. Contact customer care and see if we are scheduled for your city, we would love to demonstrate our packaging and testing systems.
Package your medical devices with confidence with our medical device packaging and testing systems. For 25 years we have helped our medical device customers deliver billions of sterile devices safely to the point of care.
